Chris's Diary
I'm a birder, hiker, and climber who also happens to be an ecologist...or is that the other way around? I get out in nature a lot, and enjoy the challenge posed by identifying what I see. As well as ornithology, I've dabbled in botany, entymology (well, lepidoptery technically), herpetology, and mycology. I have worked for Birds Australia, and often get asked to speak in public about birds or present field identification workshops. I also occasionally get my photos published in magazines or books, though I still consider myself a birder first and photographer second. I live in the Brisbane area for now but tend to move around a bit.

Thanks Tom! It's been great seeing your reports from the site and knowing the birds are using it regularly.
Hi Chris, I dropped in there yesterday saw the 4 Glossies but also came across several Speckled Warbler (in the same area) Nice spot, thanks for bringing it to our attention... Tom
Thanks Trevor, I was really excited to get such great views. The photos were an added bonus!
Great shots Chris. We see them around Bundaberg during March.
